WHY WE'RE HERE, and why we're glad you're here with us.
ABOUT US
WHY WE'RE HERE
We want to connect the general public to climate actions they can take in their own lives, at their work, and in their communities.

We're working to dramatically reduce our reliance on fossil fuel use by sharing best practices, resources, and solutions with the 7.8 million people who call the Bay Area their home, across all 9 counties and 101 cities.

Everyone has a part to play and 2030 is not far off.
"To go fast, go alone. To go far, go together."
OK, now do both.
Vision - Mission - Values
OUR VISION
We see a future where
concerted citizen action,
strategic business leadership, and
proactive government engagement have achieved
the essential 2030 climate goals that will help reverse
global warming and that, by collaborating, the San Francisco
Bay Area has made a world of difference for future generations.
OUR MISSION
Act Now Bay Area
connects Business, Community, and Government
to the climate solution resources needed to
dramatically reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and achieve ambitious 2030 greenhouse gas reduction goals
in transportation, energy, and buildings.
OUR VALUES
We’re focused.
We address the sectors that contribute the most greenhouse gas emissions.
We’re collaborators.
We amplify the great work already being done, connecting everyone to available
resources so that no one has to start from scratch.
We’re inclusive.
We respect diversity, build trusted partnerships, and connect the dots.
We’re curious.
We ask questions, like “How can we help?”, and curate existing solutions
that answer the needs across the region's communities, and are aligned with
up-to-date science, economics, and technology.
We’re pragmatic.
We provide solutions and resources that are politically and technologically feasible,
are cost-effective, and scalable.
We’re practical.
We promote solutions that address the needs and priorities of Bay Area residents,
businesses, and policy-makers.
We’re allies.
We prioritize frontline communities and workers in the transition to a fossil-free future.
If ever time was of the essence, it is now.
If ever a region could meet the challenge, it's the Bay Area.
Together, the Bay Area can make a world of difference.
